My aim is to bring musical happiness and rhythmical creativity together with mindfulness elements. We will meet on a Subway-station near the Isar riverside. This is the famous river in Munich which is well-known for relaxing and looking on the flowing water. I will guide you on a walk a bit along the riverside and we'll enjoy the view along the landscape. There I will start to offer you some small mindfulness-exercises, which help us to be present in the moment and to connect with the nature and the water. We continue to a special place on the riverside, where I will hand out some special foldable handdrums for everybody. We'll build them together and then we gather in a circle. Here we learn a little bit about rhythms and drumming. You will see that drumming doesn't require special skills, but it is a unique way for everybody to get together in rhythm and interact with the group. It is marvelous to enjoy the contrasts of groovy music and the silence afterwards. In this way we can connect to ourselves.. So if you are looking for a sparkling experience which fills you up with new energy, here you are!
I am an orchestral percussionist from Ingolstadt/Bavaria and I studied on the University of performing arts in Munich. I have started to work even more in the area of mental training and mindfulness in 2016. Since then I have tried to take people out of the regular structure of a classical concert and build up a more interactive connection.
A handdrum for everybody
We will see the Isar with it's beautiful riverside "Flaucher". Moreover, we will pass the "Tierpark Hellabrunn" which is very close. Finally, I can also give you a nice recommendation for a typical "Biergarten" directly in the Flaucher-waterside.
Happiness and Openness! Previous musical knowledge is not required
Sometimes people associate things like drumcircle and mindfulness with esoteric ideas&hippie culture. I want to point out that you'll get a professional experience from a trained and qualified person!
