Students will learn the basics of working with leather, starting with its history, to understanding various leather crafting tools and how to use them towards making your very own artisanal buffalo leather wallet. Skills you will learn includes basic pattern making, priming and burnishing, joining and sealing, traditional punching and saddle stitching, as well as applying a professional looking finish on your final product. This class will take 6 hours from start to finish, and is a completely hands-on workshop guided by a professional leather craftsman. Drinks and snacks are provided throughout.

Working primarily with vegetable tanned leather in high-end custom creations ranging bags, belts, wallets, to more unusual pieces like leather pants, whips, and harnesses, he's the go-to contemporary leather artisan in Georgetown.
