I'll teach you how to make traditional handmade wrappers, how to roll them, and how to make delicious traditional northern-style dumplings. You'll learn how to prepare the minced pork—a family secret from my mom—and use traditional Chinese spices to season the pork filling. For the vegetarian filling I'll use Chinese chives, eggs, and dried mushroom. This filling is a totally traditional Chinese dumpling filling, too. Then I'll show you how to boil and fry them. Once we've finished, we'll taste them all and discuss which filling is your favorite and which cooking method you prefer—boil or fry. Of course I'll show you how to make my special dipping sauce with garlic and soy sauce.

I have been teaching Chinese cooking classes to both foreign expats and visitors for a few years. Not only do I teach basic Chinese cooking skills, but I also introduce and explain the background of all the fresh ingredients and the joy of the process. I am a true foodie who loves cooking and especially sharing it with fellow food lovers.
I have two kitchens. Both are locted in Former French Concession. One near Fuxing Park and the other one in ChangLe Road. They both have the characteristics of old Shanghai. Two days before the experience begins I'll tell you which kitchen we are going to use.
