When you arrive at the studio, you'll sign a waiver, be given a pair of safety glasses, and taken right into the hot shop for a thorough safety overview of the tools and equipment you will be using for the class. Students will get to choose either a paper weight or ornament to create, no previous glass making experience necessary. Your instructor will demonstrate the pieces you will be making, then take you step by step through the creation process. This one time class is set up to give you the most hands on time possible while still ensuring the success of the finished product. Working with hot glass is challenging and fascinating even for the professionals - you will leave with a new appreciation and understanding of what it takes to create with hot glass.
