We will start this experience in front of the Madeleine church, in one of the most luxurious areas in Paris, epitome for fashion, jewellery & monarchy. Majestic squares like Concorde, Vendôme, or elegant garden of the Tuileries, the neighbourhood is also known for its bloody revolutionary history. To give you sufficient energy for the 3-hours walk, we'll stop in an iconic historic pastry store for a macaron tasting. From there we'll start exploring some hidden garden and tucked-away passages on our way to the former working class area of les Halles, which used to be the central market of the city, nicknamed the "belly of Paris". If the market halls are gone, all the shops aren't and it is there in a lovely little medieval street that we'll stop for a hearty cheese tasting in a lovely family run fromagerie. A little bit more exploring into the tiny trendy streets of the Sentier area and we'll reach our ending point, le Centre Pompidou, a crazy modern construction, hosting the museum of contemporary arts.
Doina, Emilie, Vivien, Lena & Tim
We're a team a local Parisian working as tour guides in our beloved city of Lights! What we love? To show you Paris, its beauty and famous sights, but also to unveil some lesser known secrets of the French capital that only locals know: hidden garden, tucked-away squares and secret passages! We have all different background : Emilie a theatre director, Arthur an actor and world champion of footbag, Vivien a history bluff, Tim a writer, Doina a NGO worker, Lena & Eugenia a photographer & Paul an aircraft pilot! Despite this diversity we all share the same passion for our city of Paris!

We will cover some well-known areas in Paris, including Concorde, Vendôme, the Louvre or the Pompidou centre, but the idea is to access these places the way a local would do, following smaller streets, secret passages and lovely local alleyways. That way, the tour offers to discover places that mostly local know and are what we would consider the "true Paris" in the "true Parisian neighbourhoods".
