For the first half of the experience, we shall be making graffiti art Outdoors in the middle Bushwick Murals. This will be a great for photo opportunities, you’ll be learning how to spray paint while having a vivid graffiti background and making your own graffiti hat or canvas. We will be making graffiti hats or canvases depending on the day. The fun part is creating graffiti, after a quick demonstration we will dive right into making graffiti hats or canvases, this part may get messy but fun, I will give instructions and be open to any questions during this part. After the workshop we will be touring the world famous Bushwick Collective and I will give detailed information about the artists and the role mural art plays in our community. (Please note that every experience is different from the other and I don’t try to recreate any of them, bigger groups tend to be more fun and conversation driven while smaller groups are more intimate and knowledge driven, both can change but this is going from past experiences.)
I am an owner of a small graffiti business in Times Square. I have been a working street artist for 9 years. I currently live in Bushwick, Brooklyn which is the art capital of New York City. I have relationships with international and local artists. I offer a simple breakdown of graffiti techniques and maybe you’ll get some paint on you before the end of the tour which is a badge of honor. I graduated school with a nursing degree but art was always my passion so I’m pursuing it wholeheartedly. I love teaching other people what i know about art and the likes and all questions are very welcome.
