Join us at our private pottery studio in Westbrook to learn how to work with clay. We will be hosting a build-your-own mug workshop at our industrial studio in the Dana Warp Mill. We will teach you the simple handbuilding techniques to help you successfully create your own pair of mugs (one for you and one for a friend). We will be partnering with a locally bakery and coffee shop to provide delicious pastries and coffee to enjoy during the workshop. Each participant's pieces will be fired after the workshop and glazed in a white gloss glaze that will highlight the textures and patterns. The glaze we use is both food safe and dishwasher safe. Participants will have the option to pick up their pieces once they have been fired or to have them shipped (the shipping cost is not included in the workshop).
While studying as a Ceramics major for four years in college I fell in love with creating unique ceramics that bring people together. My husband Joe and I launched Campfire Studio in 2015, a small pottery business with a production studio in Westbrook and small ceramic shop in Portland, Maine. It is our goal to share our love of traveling, cooking and entertaining through our handmade collection of products.
