The excursion [ to island of Comino ] will start when we meet at the terminal of Cirkewwa, we buy tickets for the boat. Take the boat. When we arrive near the island the boat will first take us to see the caves, then we proceed to the Blue Lagoon. We disembark and start with our walk around the island. Our first stop will be near an out roof cave which we would have seen a few minutes earlier from the boat. Then we would proceed to the tower of St. Maria https://www.visitmalta.com/en/info/santamariatowercomino From there we pass by the old barracks, to continue our trek along the coast towards the St. Maria Battery. A small break there. We continue following the coast towards the north, here we see the change from the sea level to the cliffs face. From up here we can see St Maria caves. Going down again to St. Maria's bay, a small sandy bay with an old chapel in the background and a small building that was used as a police station. Here too we can have another break, and maybe a swim. The water is crystal clear. After the break we proceed along the coast towards the Blue Lagoon. Here it is a must to have swim in the perfectly, crystal clear waters. Take the boat back.
I were a manager in heavy industry and later in aircraft maintenance. Managing people and organising. take care of safety issues. In my spare time I were always discovering the Islands. Now I'm retired, I have some extra time to spent outdoors trekking. From when I were young , I was always interested in Maltese neolithic history and the culture we have. This passion, gave me chance to explore remote parts of the Maltese Islands. I can now say that I know most of these routes, and I'm very happy to share them with locals and our visitors. Are you coming for this experience.
Being a small island, there are a number of attractions, from nature, wild flora, culture, historical and distances are short in between so there is always a plan B in case of bad weather.
