This fun and dynamic tour of Lima is more than a history lesson; it connects you with the heart and soul of this fascinating Peruvian city, from the people who really know what it’s like to live there – the locals. You’ll start the tour by taking the local bus to downtown Metropolitano, just as the locals do to avoid the caotic traffic before we head out on your adventure through the City of Kings, admire colonial balconies, plazas and churches as you listen to local tales. Then you will wander through a local market to see how rich and diverse is the Peruvian food culture, products from the coast, jungle and altiplano!! As you move ahead on this experience you will visit San Francisco Convent and it´s Catacombs, one of the most beautifull churches in Lima very importand place in the History of Lima and finish this walk with the national drink the PISCO SOUR : ) or a Peruvian Coffe in a local Limeño bar, the only way to kick back in Perú!
We are a group of friends that we been working in tourism for more than 20 years, always in big travel agencies, we think that most of the tours have lost in the way the contact with local people, give the kind of things that just locals know and have a real local experience. Now with Airbnb we have the opportunity to show places where we used to go with our parents, withour friends to eat something or play, or just walk around when we were kids. We want to take people into a real Peruvian experience in Lima, our hometown : )
