Skimboarding is a water sport where you catch waves on a skimboard—a board that's similar to a surfboard but smaller and without fins. Skimboarding is different from surfing in that you don't paddle out to catch waves, but rather skim along the shorebreak. I'll teach you about safety protocol, and get you sliding on a thin layer of water. You might even catch a wave on your first day. You can also ask me anything about skimboarding and living the local lifestyle in Rio.
Skimboards I will lend each guest one of my very own Skimboards, based on their weight.
We will meet at beautiful Ipanema Beach in the South Zone of Rio. If the wind conditions are bad, we will meet at Posto 8 and possibly go to Praia do Diabo, a five-minute walk from our meeting point.
