You'll arrive at my Bridgeport Art Center studio where we will have coffee/tea and introduce ourselves. You'll receive a demo on how to paint with vibrant inks both abstractly and realistically. Then you will explore the techniques yourself! I provide ongoing guidance and assistance and answer any questions you may have. I'll offer granola bars half way through the experience. You will leave with 3 - 5 unique paintings of your own!
Coffee & Tea
Paint, paper, & supplies. I will provide all paint supplies as well as aprons and gloves for your use.
For 30 years, I've been painting and sculpting both realistically and abstractly. I've exhibited at Slate Contemporary in Oakland, CA, Conrad Wilde Gallery in Tucson, AZ, & Adam Peck Gallery in Provincetown, MA. My work is also available online at Artsy.net through the Chicago Art Source Gallery. I love to share my experience and passion for art with others!
This workshop will be held at Chicago's historic Bridgeport Art Center, a beautifully refurbished 500K sq. ft. brick building, housing artist studios, galleries and event spaces. It was formerly a Singer sewing machine factory & Spiegel catalog distribution center prior to becoming an art center.
You will need to arrange your own transportation to the studio. Ride share compaines (Lyft or Uber) are great ways to get here. Bring an apron or old shirt; Wear clothes you don't mind getting messy.
