In this private jewelry making class, I will teach you the most important and versatile jewelry making techniques, including how to properly attach a clasp to a beaded necklace or bracelet and how to wire-wrap gemstone beads and turn them into earrings. For an hour, you will have my undivided attention and careful guidance. I'll walk you through the creative learning process by first introducing you to the jewelry making tools and various findings and fixtures we'll be using. Then, you'll choose from an eclectic selection of gemstone beads to work with. Finally, we'll go over the step-by-step instructions of each jewelry making technique. In the beginning stages, I'll be doing these techniques with you, then I'll talk you through them. Eventually, you'll be doing them your own! In the end, you’ll leave with a set of new skills and a unique memento of your trip to Philadelphia.
Hi, I'm Bopha! I'm a 25-year-old jewelry designer born and raised in Philadelphia. I've been teaching jewelry making classes at Beadworks Philadelphia for over 5+ years. Teaching people new creative skills is a true passion of mine. Some of my previous students have turned their newfound love for jewelry making into a full-time career, while others have turned it into their favorite hobby. As a native to Philadelphia, I would consider myself to be very well-versed in the creative scene of Philly. I love meeting new people, sharing recommendations, and spreading the joy of jewelry making.
