I will receive you into my home, and after a brief introduction of ourselves, I will tell you a bit about the history of cacao and chocolate. We will talk about the difference between raw and processed chocolate, and also the benefits of cacao. We will then make chocolate together, you will be helping out. I'll have all the ingredients, all organic and vegan. Vegan chai tea or herbal teas will be on offer during the workshop. And of course you will take your own bar of chocolate with you home. You're free to hang around for a while longer and enjoy the panoramic views from my terrace, and quench your thirst for any local knowledge you might want and that I can offer.
Hey :) I'm Karl, and I've been living on the island of Gozo for around 5 years. I moved here from Malta, just a 20 minute ferry away, to enjoy Gozo's more natural environment and the increased peacefulness it offers. Among my many passions in life - the sea, nature, running, sailing, diving, eating and cooking healthy delicious food - I've also been told by many who taste it that I make really good chocolate. And, I make the healthy kind, with healthy organic ingredients, that anyone can make at home! Apart from this I love healthy food in general, so this led me to learn how to make delicious chocolate to satisfy my sweet tooth and chocaholism. I have been sharing this passion with many through selling the chocolate itself and also holding workshops in workplaces and at home. Through Airbnb experiences, I hope to bring this also to you!
Tea & Chocolate of course!
Vegan Chai Tea (Indian spiced organic black tea)
You will be visiting my home, which has a big living and dining room where we can comfortably make chocolate and have tea together! The view from the living is also breathtaking, and on nice weather we can enjoy our tea on the terrace, overlooking Gozo & Malta.
A note pad :)
Remember to be here on time, and in Gozo, if you are travelling by bus you need to plan ahead. If you arrive on time, I can meet you at the bus stop and pick you up so you don't have to walk up the steep hill.
