Via Italia has a wonderful mix of heritage, culture, food, shops, businesses, and is the historical hub of the broader Italian community in the region. Join me as we stroll along Erie Street East, meeting our diverse merchants and proprietors, discovering unique stores and their wares, and sampling some scrumptious Italian delicacies along the way. I'm proud to showcase one of Canada's biggest Little Italy's through this interactive neighborhood walking tour.
I'm the Manager of the Via Italia Business Improvement Area (BIA), a tourism development consultant (day job), a past recipient of the Ontario Tourism Innovator of the Year Award. Originally from Toronto, I moved to Windsor in 2017 and work to promote the region and it's amazing lifestyle opportunities to both visitors and prospective residents alike.
We will sample scrumptious Italian treats and delicacies at different shops and restaurants along the way.
The tour begins at the Via Italia Business Improvement Area (BIA) office, and then we will head out on our stroll to visit a number of merchants, shops and restaurants along Erie Street East who will be awaiting our arrival.
