We will meet at the beginning point of the Bush Discovery. The picnic will be in the pack bags and the pack horse will be ready to saddle up. We will walk along a beautiful trail that descends deep into a valley with a clear clear creek at the bottom. Excess clothes and belongings can be carried on the horse, leaving you hassle free. We will start on our journey, with our pack loaded. The pristine Australian bush always has something in flower, something to marvel at: huge trees growing out of colourful sandstone on the escarpment, parasitic vines that started life as a plant, tiny birds that make their nests in a hole that looks like a snake should live in there. If you can handle a big hill, with as many stops as you need, you'll experience an amazing array of diversity on a picturesque trail. A clear creek (stream) runs through a rainforest gully with towering eucalypt trees overhead. Beside this unique pristine creek you will enjoy your delicious picnic lunch with real Australian billy tea and home made treats! There are no rules, apart from being safe and respectful.

Do you love to experience all the native bush has to offer? So do I. I love to identify birds from their songs then find them in the trees. I love to identify the trees, the bushes and plants as well as the insects and reptiles around me and I like to share that with friends. I also love being with horses. My old pack saddle has seen many decades of work and many miles of Australian bush. Most of my horses are Endurance horses - that is they do long distance horse races, or have done. They enjoy the bush as much as I do. I take my barefoot horses on pack rides every Christmas. This Christmas just gone, I thought, "Gosh - I would love to be able do this every day... so I'm offering a Bush Discovery and Pack Horse Picnic. We will load up a pack horse with a picnic and lead her on a bush track and see what nature has to offer.
A delicious picnic lunch
