We will meet at a meeting point at the agreed time and hike through some beautiful jungle, with stops for pictures and rest. There will be a mix of up, level, and down stretches, a walk around an old reservoir, and a visit to a small waterfall for a refreshing dip.
I enjoy hiking hills and mountains, I have been to many hiking places in/around Kuala Lumpur, and I have also hiked 3 mountains in South-East Asia - Mount Kinabalu (the highest mountain in Malaysia), Mount Rinjani in Lombok (the second highest mountain in Indonesia), and Mount Merapi (a volcano in Java, Indonesia). There are some beautiful jungles to visit while you are in KL, some as close as 30 min by car from the city center. I don't know much about the trees/plants and birds/insects there - I just go there for a few hours to refresh from the city life and enjoy the views and the workout.
We will visit the jungle area around an old reservoir (lake) in Ampang area, approximately 30 minutes by car from the city center. The hike takes around 3 hours to complete (longer if you need more stops for rest). The area is called Bukit Kembara and is also known as Bukit Indah.
