Come get your horsey fix! This is an un-mounted experience. It is not a riding experience. Activities can include brushing, grooming, leading, groundwork bonding with the horses. Enjoy the horses in their pasture setting or work with them in the arena hands-on at your leisure. We'll take a picnic lunch provided by a local deli and enjoy the relaxing mountain scenery and fresh air. Fishing stop and lots of photo opts available along the way!!! Views of Mt. Mitchell. Airbnb cottage rentals too. This is a customizable activity so please let me know your preferences. I'll need to know things like ages of the participants, how far you are willing/or able to walk, any physical limitations, dietary allergies/needs/or preferences, drink preference. Let me know how involved you would like to be with the horses....very hands-on or just around the horses while engaging in enjoying the setting, fresh air, and/or wading in the creek. Some of this you can decide after arrival but please give me an idea of the experience you expect. Also, advise me if you have an interest in spending some time fishing along the way. The picnic spot will depend on season and time of day.
Born and raised on horseback on a 400 acre farm of Western North Carolina, I started my business about 7 years ago for beginner riding lessons and trail rides. Over time it's evolved into outdoor wellness and coaching. I'm a former 4-H horse club leader. I'm not a show instructor or the rodeo or a dude ranch. I just help people to enjoy horses safely in a beautiful natural setting. My goal is to provide a relaxed setting and educate people about horses while allowing them to enjoy the therapeutic qualities of horses and nature. Once you book, we'll discuss your personal preferences.
Picnic from a local deli

300 acres of privately owned land around 3000 feet elevation. Lots of woodlands, creeks, and open pastures. The large outdoor arena has long range mountain views all the way to Mt. Mitchell (tallest peak east of the Mississippi). You can even stop to fish at the pond. Picnic spot will depend on the season and time of day.
Let me know if it's a special occasion, if you're looking for a quiet romantic getaway, or if you'd love to let the whole tribe run wild. Either is fine! Just give me a heads up so I can prepare.
