We’ll be doing a walking and shopping tour of Dublin city centre, where we’ll discover a number of off the beaten track gems: independently owned shops with a selection of Irish made and curated products. We’ll be particularly focused on shops that’ll provide you with a wide variety of options for unique, beautiful gifts and mementos to take home from your trip to Ireland, including, but not limited to, jewellery and gems, clothes and accessories, books and homewares, gadgets and trinkets. You’ll love our selection of items, many of which you won’t find elsewhere, and you’ll also be discovering and supporting many Irish artists, designers and small business owners on your journey. As a local resident and neighbour to these small business, I’ve built relationships with many of the small business owners and artists, and we’ll be talking to a number of them, to hear their stories and get their insights and recommendations.
I’m a life-long Dublin resident and Airbnb Super Host, with a passion for finding beautiful, locally crafted, unique pieces. I’ve always really enjoyed discovering local artists and interesting small business owners. I’ve lived, worked and shopped in Dublin city centre for twenty years, and have been providing detailed shopping recommendations, which my guests have loved, for the past five years. I live and host in the heart of the shopping district. So now I’m giving tours of cool, independent shops in Dublin, and ensuring visitors get an insider guide to Dublin’s shopping secrets.
We’ll be visiting a number of small shops within an approximately one mile radius on the south side of Dublin city centre. We’ll be walking from shop to shop at a leisurely pace, and spending time in each one.
I’d suggest bringing an umbrella or raincoat, just in case, as Irish weather is notoriously unpredictable, and we will be walking outside from shop to shop.
