Iyengar Yoga is a very ancient science which is thousands of years old that combines exercise, breathing, diet, relaxation and meditation. It is a combination of physical and mental disciplines which make the body stronger and healthier and the mind calmer and more controlled, helping towards self-realisation. Yoga works primarily with the energy in the body and through the science of pranayama or energy-control. Prana means also ‘breath.’ Yoga teaches how, through breath-control, to still the mind and attain higher states of awareness. GONGS Sound is one of the oldest and most natural forms of relaxation and healing practiced by ancient civilizations and tribes around the world for over thousands of years. Gongs in particular, with their wide range of frequencies, tones and harmonies, are one of the most powerful healing instruments. Join us on a journey of Sacred Sound. Your senses will be guided to travel with the frequency of the gong.
Kris and I are certified yoga teachers and we recently opened our studio which is on the ground floor of our home. It is our 'Jewel'! We are also holistic healers, specializing in energy healing (Reiki), holistic health (Ayurveda), and sound healing (gongs, Tibetan bowls). We run a variety of weekly yoga classes, including Yin, Vinyasa, Restorative, and Kundalini.
We offer Ayurvedic tea and organic biscuits to students after each yoga class in our warm and comfortable studio lounge area
We run our yoga classes, workshops and private one on one healing sessions in our yoga studio, The Jewel Within Yoga.
