We’ll begin in downtown LA at Verve Coffee Roasters, where we’ll sample a few distinct coffees from around the world using a pour over method. I will educate you on different brew methods and give an overall history of specialty coffee in LA. After we’re done, we'll head to the nearby Don Francisco's Coffee Casa Cubana, to enjoy espressos and learn about coffee shop jargon. From there, we’ll explore the streets of downtown Los Angeles and check out the great street art before we end up at G & B Coffee in Grand Central Marker where we will drink creamy macchiatos and have a final Q&A session. Feel free to stop me any time along the way if you want to take a photo.
I've spent over a decade working in the LA coffee scene and know the ins and outs of the industry. I believe coffee is great at bringing people together. This experience is a day in the life of me—I frequent these shops, I know the baristas, some I even call friends. I want to share my love of coffee with you; please join me.
Doughnuts I’ll provide doughnuts so we aren’t over caffeinating on an empty stomach. The donuts are not gluten free and are…
Coffee I’ll provide a tasting of a few pour over coffees, an espresso, and a macchiato. Vegan and non-dairy milk options…
We’ll meet at Verve Coffee—the flagship store of a popular Santa Cruz coffee roaster, travel to Don Francisco's Casa Coffee Casa Cubana, which serves locally-roasted coffee and then hidden gem Tilt Coffee Bar for some great coffee from Portland Oregon.

I suggest eating something before you arrive. It might be very hot so bring a bottle of water and some sunscreen. Parking meters have two hour max so I would suggest ubering in or parking in a lot
