Get to know yourself and others by setting free your unique outlook on the city. Make Paris your own by transforming it into a poem, a short story or a song. We will meet at the Jardin du Luxembourg and head to iconic places near the Orangerie, the Medici Fountain or the Great Basin, depending on the season. R.M. Rilke, the German poet and Nathalie Sarraute, the French author, wrote texts in the Jardin, which we will read together and get inspiration from. Each one of us will then have a 40- minute spell of writing after which we will share our piece out loud. From the source our works, debates and suggestions will ensue. Always free and non-judgemental. We are here to experiment and enjoy ourselves! We will bring our jaunt to an end by taking you to a beautiful nearby sationary shop.
As a bilingual (Franco-Irish) translator, teacher and writer, I love to share with you my lifelong passion for expressing insights and feelings into words, as a creator but first and foremost as an enamoured Parisian who has grown to know how this city gets creativity and inner troves to be self-revealed at every twist and turn.
First, to the Jardin du Luxembourg, for its perfectly harmonized landscaping and its iconic spots which inspired poet R.M.Rilke and novelist Nathalie Sarraute. Then, on to a typical Paris stationary shop.
-A notebook and a pen. -Metro tickets to get there. -A bottle of water or an extra snack in case writing makes you burn (brain) calories! - A decent coat/raincoat according to the weather
