Each of the wines has a clever names like, “Summer Breeze,” “Painted Dreams,” “Sacred Love,” and “Faithful Friend” to name a few. Guests can have a private wine tasting with the owner, light snacks, charcuterie & cheese boards, access to the winemaker and owners and much more. We also offer homemade artisan popcorn tastings, olive oils & vinegar tastings as well as wine appreciation classes. The wine ambassadors on hand are knowledgeable of the wines and eager to share the story of the McClain family to our guests.
At McClain Cellars we will offer you 4 different wine flights to enjoy. These include our "Laguna Wine Flight" which offers all white wines, our "Canyon Wine Flight" which offers red and white wines, our "Masters Wine Flight" which offers all red wines, and our "Reserve Wine Flight" which offers both red and white wines that are all from our Reserve wine list.
Guests will also be able to "Make their own Cheese & Charcuterie Board" while in the lounge. They can choose from over a dozen cheeses, meats, jams, crackers, nuts and more to create a beautiful and appetizing board to enjoy on location.
Finally, you will be fully educated on each of our estate wines.

I am Jason McClain, winemaker and owner of an amazing winery with vineyards in the Santa Ynez Valley called McClain Cellars. It is a first-class tasting room in Laguna Beach. I have a “hip” modern industrial luxury tasting lounge that is a cross between a New York “Soho” music venue and a “Napa Valley” tasting lounge. I have grown my own grapes under the McClain Cellars brand and makes all of our own wine in the Santa Ynez Valley. I make an amazing wine that is truly outstanding. I set myself apart by combing amazing art and unique names with wines that rate at 90 and 91 points according to Wine Enthusiast magazine. I have won countless medals. I make wine for people to fall in love with. I made my first bottle in 2013. It was a Bordeaux style blend.

Featuring a 16-foot glass garage door, skylights, and a shaded patio, McClain Cellars brings the beauty of Laguna Beach into the tasting room. Along the bar, you will find artistic wine bottles with unique paintings on each. Each of the wines has a clever name like, “Summer Breeze,” “Painted Dreams,” “Sacred Love,” and “Faithful Friend” to name a few. The walls have colorful paintings that encourage every guest to stop and gaze.

- Although I didn’t see the last minute message that my reservation for a wine tasting at McClain Winery had canceled until I arrived, Jason went above and beyond to turn a sudden, disappointing experience for me into a special, one of a kind memorable evening of wine tasting for one... me. He opened his previously closed wine tasting business and offered me the moon to make up for canceling this event moments after I made my reservation the night before. McClain Winery offers amazing blends of red and white wines which everyone should experience when in the Laguna Beach area! Thank you, Jason, for the opportunity to taste your yummy wines! - I really enjoyed my experience at McClain Cellars. The waitress was very friendly and so knowledgeable about the wines. I chose a Reserve flight and was not disappointed. The artisan popcorn was so tasty, I never knew popcorn could have so much flavor. Well worth the money. I would recommend (and already have) to my friends/family.
- I did this for my anniversary & the experience was better than I expected! You pay the $30 on AirBnb & are ready to go when you get there. No in-person bill is necessary. We stuck with the Reserve flight, as sweet-wine drinkers, this tasting flight was a pleasant surprise! Our palettes are very beginner and we were able to appreciate all the notes behind each ounce. And the popcorn was great too! I recommend the sweet one & my partner the jalapeño pepper one :) All other tables were a nice distance as well. Also, how could we not happily support a black-owned business! Nice through experience & will gladly return again!
