We will meet in Los Dominicos metro Station. Los Dominicos is a beautyful small location. We will take a quick walk through, so you can take some pictures. Then, i will drive you to the access point at the beginning of the trail on the hill (20 minutes drive). Once there, I'll give a quick briefing about the hill and the trail, then we will start hiking. The trail we are going to hike is located on a hill right at the edge of The Andes mountains. It's a beautyful valley that goes into the Andes. We will do everything at your own pace. The idea is to enjoy the landscape, get away from the city, get some exercise, have a good talk and have fun. There are no rules or demands! Also, since im a tourism proffesional, i can give you very good tips about the things you want to see during your stay in Chile. After a 90 minutes hike, we will reach the summit called "Morro Las Papas" (1357 MAMSL) If we are lucky, we will be able to see some condors. We will stay at the summit for a while. I'll show you the good spots for pictures, we will chill out and have some snacks. Then - whenever you are ready - we will start the hike down. We should get to the bottom in 40 minutes. After getting to the bottom, i'll drive you back to the station.
My name is Sebastian. Im a tourism management professional. I grew up in the south of Chile in Puerto Varas surrounded by lakes, volcanos, forests and tourism industry. I got my degree in Tourism Management at the Universidad Austral of Chile and it has been my profession since. After i graduated, I lived a couple of years in Seattle working as an snowboard instructor. After that, i returned to Chile to develop my other passion which is to play music. I have a good background experience taking care of guests and working as a guide in different kind of touristic activities. I just founded my own hiking start-up named "Hike Santiago", which is what i do 24/7 using the airbnb platform to book and promote the tours. I love hikings, rock climbing, bike riding and enjoy the natural places that Santiago and the rest of Chile offers.

"Morro Las Papas" is a hill located right at the edge of the Andes mountains and minutes away from national monument and town "Pueblito Los Dominicos". The hill is very close to the city, however it's hard to get there if you don't know the road. It's a hill only hiked by locals. No turists. No crowds. Once there, you can enjoy nature and a unique view of the city. We will also have a quick tour in the little town "Los Dominicos".
The schedule for the tour can be either in the morning or in the afternoon. It also can be agreed in advance. The pick-up point and the drop off point is the same.
