Let's make some monsters! I illustrated a bunch of weird monster face parts (eyeballs, noses, ears, mouths, horns and some additional accessories), I will have some 12" x 12" canvases, glue, googely eyes, paint, colored pencils and paint markers; you will make crazy original weird art by swirling a painted vortex on the canvas, then collaging all the monster face parts together to make your very own unique one of a kind monster portrait! WHAT WE WILL DO: STEP 01: You will prepare your monsters demonic vortex by moistening the canvas, drizzling some acrylic paint and swirling it around like the proper mad scientist you really want to be. STEP 02: While your canvas dries, you will pick out your monster face parts, cut them out and loosely compose your monster design. During this time I will also help expedite the drying process with my magical hot air producing blasters (AKA a hair dryer). STEP 03: Once your magical monster vortex is bone dry, we will begin our glue party! In this step, clear nontoxic Elmers glue will be your weapon of choice. Glue glue everywhere! Layering the monster parts until your monster comes alive on the canvas! STEP 04: The final beastie must now dry in order to be ready to come home with you, so now will be the time for you to go explore the rest of the market! Recommended for ages 10 and up (Class requires cutting lots of little pieces of paper)
