I'm a life-long vegetarian that dabbles frequently in veganism- so i've never had meat before. Raised around New York City, I am a passionate foodie & frequent traveler. I run a vegetarian food/travel blog, @VegAroundTheWorld, to document my colorful eating experiences abroad. I also have studied food anthropology, global food systems and sustainable agriculture at institutions around the world (such as Argentina, Bolivia, Greece, Italy and the U.S.)
We'll start in Bushwick at a Japanese restaurant for appetizers and then walk to an Ethiopian restaurant for entrées & ceremonial coffee. We'll then grab another appetizer at a Venezuelan cafe before dining on traditional tacos inside a tortilla factory. Lastly, we'll take a car to Williamsburg to visit a secretly vegan bistro for dessert and live music!
