I will provide an introduction to the long, wonderful journey the famous Colombian coffee makes on its way from tree to cup and basics on the coffee roasting process. Learn about the amazing roasting process, you will see how we roast our own coffees in our micro coffee roastery and experience a bit of the complex world of roasting, having the chance of exploring different roasting types and roast curves and experience some roasting tips. Of course, you'll sample lots of coffees along the way and have a chance to try our special edition coffee natural or geisha straight for my coffee farm. At the end you will learn and roast your own coffee.
My name is Sara, I was born and raised in Colombia in a coffee grower’s family. From a very young age coffee has been part of my life. Growing up in the very heart of the coffee production in Colombia has allowed me to experience and learn about the whole process from within. I studied with the National Learning Service of Colombia (SENA) and the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia for more than 5 years. I have been working with specialty coffee for more than 7 years, I own a coffee farm and micro coffee roastery in Medellín, I roast my own coffee and small coffee farmers coffee at my roastery, I will show you the amazing world of roasting coffee. I have produced a variety of specialty coffee profiles directly from our coffee farm and sold them to many clients in the US, Australia, and South Korea.
