Calming your mind & restoring your energy, nourishing your body and spirit enjoying woodland walks and maybe even a dip in the river!

Absolutely no experience necessary, just a willingness to let go of your troubles, fears, worries and anxieties.

Forest Bathing originated in Japan and scientific studies show that taking time out in nature, slowing down and re-connecting with its therapeutic power boosts the immune system, increases energy, lowers blood pressure, aids sleep, reduces stress and anxiety and can alleviate depression. Trees and plants release phytoncides that boost our immune system.

We will take a very slow walk through the forest using our five senses, savouring the sounds, sights, smells and tastes. Woven in to this wonderful experience will be beautiful Dru Yoga sequences that relax the body and calm the mind, finding a place of stillness within. The sequences are moving meditations deepening the whole forest experience. Included in the day will be tea, coffee drinks and a healthy lunch deep in the heart of the woods.

Host description
Between them, your hosts Kathy and Phil have over 40 years experience in practicing, teaching and delivering nature based and holistic therapeutic activities. Kathy’s wealth of knowledge and qualifications cover Swedish massage, Aromatherapy, Indian head massage, Reiki, Dru yoga and more recently vibrational sound therapy.
Phil lectures countryside management/conservation and traditional woodland skills and Greenwood crafts. He designs and develops workshops combining greenwood craft and music in clinically proven therapeutic activity. Embedded into all his workshops is a mindful approach and a deep awareness of nature through his practice of Forest bathing. Both have worked and continue to work with a wide range of people of all ages including people with multiple and complex needs herein the UK and abroad.

体验地点

You will walk through the woodland, down to the bubbling river, where the first Dru Yoga sequence will take place. Then along to a beautiful meadow for the next sequences. Then you will have lunch. After you will continue with Dru Yoga and forest bathing, finishing with a relaxation session and a cup of tea.

This whole day is set outside in the nature, so please come suitably dressed with waterproofs shelter will be provided for some of the activities. Unless there is heavy rain and storms forecast the course will go ahead. In the event of cancellation and an alternative day will be organised.
