"What is Sydney's oldest pub?" We'll gather for an ale and a tale as we explain why this isn't an easy question to answer. We'll introduce you to local craft beers and escort you to secret locations not open to the general public—including a hidden tunnel used for kidnapping sailors and an original convict jail cell, both located underneath a pub.
One drink at each pub We'll visit 4 pubs in total for your choice of beer, cider, wine, or soft drink. Spirits, cocktails,…
Your experience will either be hosted by Gaz or Gregg. Gaz has enjoyed teaching history and archaeology to school groups visiting The Rocks for over 10 years, and has worked in local tourism for over 17. Gregg has been guiding groups all over the world for over 10 years. They are both passionate about beer, and earlier this year combined forces to create a successful Pub Tour business. They both love The Rocks, and with 12 pubs within walking distance they believe it's the best place for an ale and a tale when spending some time in Sydney. Cheers
We'll be in The Rocks, commonly known as Australia's oldest neighborhood. It contains over 90 heritage buildings, including the pubs we'll visit. The average distance between pubs on our tour is 400m (a quarter of a mile), including stairs.
