This unique experience has many components, historical, cultural and artistic. We will start by visiting an under roof art studio. This will be an occasion to showcase very eclectic art. After this, we will have the traditional café stop, where we will be able to eat a pastry, and introduce what we will do next. To continue, we will have a stroll through a park and a small part of the district, with historically significant places, where famous artists in the likes of Modigliani and Chagall spent some of their lives. During this we will confront this history, rich in artistic figures, with today. Afterwards, to top this off, and really broaden perspectives, you will be able to express your creativity. We will go to Elisa's "MyParisArt" workshop. This artist, professional, with many talents, from potery to sculpture to painting, will help you to reveal the artist in you.
I started to get involved with the artistic side of Paris, my hometown, a decade ago. I am a writer, with many awards for short stories, and have also set up a play. I have been contributing to a magazine about contemporary Art for years, and enjoy discovering works of art of all kinds as well as talking with art makers. All this involvement with the Parisian art scene has led me to meet several artists with which I am now collaborating to conceive and organize this unique tour. Meeting artists in their studio is a unique and memorable way to open gateways into these artists' own world. As a writer and art lover, it’s a pleasure to share the renewed discovery of my own district and initiate people to a more confidential Paris.
First we will visit an under roof art studio. We will have a break at a typical parisian café. Afterwards we will walk around the district through a notable park, and passing by the "Ruche" an art hive where many historical art figures lived and worked. To end this tour, in another art studio, you will be able to create your own art with the help of a professional.
If you have any exhibit or entry ticket of any kind, a postcard or a magazine of Paris you like, or even a metro ticket, bring it along! (optional)
To visit the under roof art studio, we will have to take a very narrow lift and take a starecase for one supplementary floor.
