We will combine an archaeological visit with wine tasting, heading to the ski center Portillo (Laguna del Inca). We pick you up at your hotel at 8:30 a.m. (schedule to be confirmed) in a modern vehicle, to take route 5 North to the valley of the Aconcagua River, 150 km of Santiago. Then you can taste Chilean wines in a special and different location, where the landscape is simply spectacular, surrounded by petroglyphs from more than 1.000 years old and endemic cactus in the middle of the vines belonging to the vineyard In Situ in the Paidahuen archaeological park. From there you can observe the breathtaking panoramic of the different layers of the Aconcagua Valley and later continue your journey through the serpentine geography of the Andes mountain range to reach Portillo, ski center with a privileged view of the beautiful Laguna del Inca , located at 2,800 meters above sea level. On the way you will stop to buy empanadas, old Chilean typical preparation, as a lunch (included in the price of the tour), so we will return to the capital of Chile, Santiago, and arrive at your hotel around 18:30 hrs.
I am Chilean and co-founder of ChileVivo Tours, a receptive tourism agency in Santiago de Chile and surroundings that we created with my wife 3 years ago. I lived 8 years in Europe (Holland) and since the return I dedicated myself to travel through Chile and to practice as a tourist guide, first in the north - San Pedro de Atacama, in the driest desert in the world -, then in the south, in Puerto Varas and islands of Chiloé and now in the central region of the country. As a guide I have more than 15 years of experience, I am enthusiastic and talkative, I love my job and can deliver my knowledge. My main interest is to ensure that those who visit us get a real and informed impression of the historical and current Chile, with data, anecdotes, experiences and stories that make this country a unique and unforgettable place to meet.
