This is a one hour guided walk through the Columbus Park of Roses. I've mapped out a course that will take you all throughout the park, hitting the major sites while also learning about different plants and trees, as well as their uses (culinary, medicinal, and ecological). You'll be surprised to discover the wonders that hide in plain sight. No two tours are alike, the garden and seasons are ever changing and so the content will depend on what's in bloom or fruiting.
I love traveling and have been fortunate to visit different parts of the world. The most memorable moments are when I get to connect with new people. I absolutely love showing people around and making sure they feel welcome, something I discovered while living in San Francisco and having friends visit. I fell in love with plants and gardening a few years ago, and now spend my spare time looking after and learning from the plants around me. If I'm not in the yard, you'll probably find me at the library reading up on everything garden and plant related or attending workshops.
We'll start at the main entrance (there's a big sign for the Rose Garden) and make our way through the backyard garden, the heritage garden, the herb garden and the perennial garden.
