We will meet at the center of the City, at its enter gate built in period when Zadar was part of Venetian Republic known as "Land gate" or "Porta Terraferma", from where we will start our tour which will be located on Zadar peninsula. I've planned to show you Zadar's most recognisible atractions which except the Land gate include main Zadar street Kalelarga which dates from period when Zadar was part of Roman empire (later got name Calle larga, which in Italian means wide street), afterward we will go in front of the unique medieval church of St. Donat which foundation is built with marble ruins of Roman Forum equipment from 1st century BC that can be seen all around the sight. Next spot will be romanesque Chatedral of saint Anastasia, the biggest chatedral in Dalmatia which first phase dates back in 4th or 5th century, and the final spot will be the famous instalations of Zadar architect Nikola Bašić - Sea Organ and Greetings to the Sun. During the tour every participant will get 5 polaroid photos (dimensions 6 x 9 cm).
Hi, I'm 28 years old Art Historian from Zagreb. I've studied Art History in Zadar, where I have lived for five years, and every summer season I'm coming back near Zadar on summer vacations. Zadar is my second hometown, I know every corner of this beautiful City and can not wait to show you why it's a favorite tourist destination. During College I started experimenting with analogy photography, later with digital as well, and as a part of II. biennale of Croatian youth photography I was member of jury curator team for selection of photographs for the exhibition. In free time I'm doing acro silk, hiking, rollerskating and all kinds of photography, including polaroid photography as well.
I will provide polaroid camera and photo papers for shooting.
Check pont will be Land Gate, the entrance to the old City core at Zadar peninsula, from where we will make a tour through the most interesting cultural and historical sights of Zadar. After check point at Land gate, we will walk across the famous Kalelarga street to St. Donat church. After that we will go in front of the biggest chatedral in Dalmatia, and the last spot will be Zadar famous instalations - Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun.
