Ready to experience one of Mexico City's most diverse locations with everything you need to immerse yourself into what makes my country one of a kind, then let's get the ball rolling and visit Mercado de San Juan, in downtown, try out some local ingredients, insects and other delicacies. Then, water those down with some wine, mezcal, creaft beer, perhaps something not yet named. From there, it is time to walk around Centro, an architectural and Spanish colonial times city landmark. More to see, plenty of window shopping and street market shopping. On a different note, we can get to visit a museum or two in the vicinity of Mercado de San Juan. Want to learn more, please join me in this peculiar tour full of stories to tell, foods to taste and things to see. Pura vida!
For more than ten years I’ve studied and worked with international food and drink professionals in the hospitality industry, explored traditional Mexican culinaria in central, northern and southern Mexico, and learned from them how to make typical dishes: moles, barbecues, stews, breads, insects, among other local delicacies, as well as the preparation of continental cuisine in places like China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, and Germany. Also, I have been the host and organizer of several tequila, mezcal, whisky, beer, and wine themed events with experts from France, Scotland, US, Germany, Italy, and South Africa. Sharing and exchanging culture through gastronomic and cultural activities has been pivotal to my career development in the food business. I want to share the stories behind these experiences. Wanna learn more, please join me in.
