This is a guided tour of the Chattahoochee River. We can accommodate up to 6 guests; we have (4) one-person kayaks, (1) two-person tandem kayak, and (1) two-person canoe; you may choose your vessels. Many of our guests have never kayaked/canoed; we are very accustomed to new adventurers. The exact route we take will be dependent on your comfort level, length of trip, and river conditions. The routes we prefer are less-populated, giving us better opportunities to see wildlife; we often see turtles, rainbow and brown trout, water fowl, deer, and the occasional otter. There are multiple sandy beaches and flat rocks along the river where we can stop for photos, snacks, and swimming. At the end of the tour, Troy and I will pull your boat up to the boat ramp and assist you out of your vessel. Don’t worry, we will clean and pack everything up, making this the easiest trip down the Chattahoochee. To request a different time/date, click on the “Contact Host” button below, then “Request Availability,” or send us a message; we are happy to accommodate.
Troy and I host this experience together- Troy has been a paddling and fly fishing tour guide for more than 10 years on the Chattahoochee. I am a local science and history teacher. Because Troy has extensive knowledge about the river, local wildlife, and local Native American history, he will conduct the majority of the tour. I will also make sure you are outfitted with everything from bug spray to a sun hat and take your photos throughout the trip. We are both CPR and first aid certified. We love being out in nature as much as possible, but the Chattahoochee is our favorite place to be.

The length of your tour can vary between 7 miles (3.5-4 hour paddle) and 2 miles (1-2 hour paddle), depending on your preference. River conditions may affect exactly where we meet and end. All are located in Roswell and Sandy Springs, GA. There are numerous flat rocks and small beaches throughout the river, where we can take breaks during the trip. Although there are a few places that require paddling, the majority of the trip is an easy float.
最多可有6位年满7周岁的参与者参加。 Life-jackets are provided, and both Troy and myself are CPR certified, however it is best if all guests can swim. The kayaks are rated up to 275lbs, the canoe is rated up to 500lbs. All tours are dependent on weather and river…
Because we are paddling downstream, the tour only requires mild exertion. The faster you choose to paddle, the more strenuous the trip becomes. We will move at a pace that is comfortable for you. This is typically just a float down the river, with beginner-level paddling and turning required.
