Our tour shares the local Hidden Cultural spots of Palace area. We will meet up at starting point where we give a quick introduction while you enjoy the welcoming beverage. We will walk toward our Historical Shrine area (where Korean treasure is displayed). I will take you to a photo zone and tell you the history and Korean mythology. After the historic walk, we will visit Hanok that’s being preserved, even local Koreans don’t have chance to look at how Hanok is being built. We will tell you the story of hanok at a real Hanok village (not the one with the tour zone, it’s the one people actually reside). Then, we will go to a hidden valley where you will see the beauty of Inwang Mountain and listen to the stories of the valley. As we walk towards the valley, you could have an option to visit local stores and workshops to buy cute handmade Souvenir. After coming back from this small trekking at a mountain, we will visit our local traditional market “Tong-in Market” where you will have chance to try Korean traditional rice-cake and cookies. After touring the local traditional market, we will drop you off at the place you want to go: Gyeongbokgung station, a famous roasting coffee place or famous Samgyetang (chicken restaurant) in Korea. This trip is packed with experiencing History, culture and hot spots of Seoul.
I’m a co-owner of Diguet house Korea where we preserve traditional Korean Hanok. My husband is a Hanok Architect and I’m train tour guide for our beloved neighbor “Seochon”. Our family fell in love with this neighborhood so we are building the Hanok by government sponsered preservation operation. If you are a fan of Korean history, culture, architect and food we are here to show you the hidden gem of Palace neighborhood “Seochon”. You will see the historical landmarks, the process of building hanok, hidden valley and traditional market. We want to share the real authentic Korean experience of Seochon with you.
