This all day experience will last for approximately 7 hours. We will meet in town in the CBD. Then, we will take an Uber to my friend's home in Kajiado. There we will meet the women of Maasai Land. They will share stories about the Maasai culture, perform traditional dances and teach you bead making. During our time in Kajiado, you will have an opportunity to ask questions to become well acquainted with the culture and traditions. Afterwards, we will return to Nairobi for the conclusion of the tour.
As the founder of Arising Youth International, I have spent the past 5 years in Kenya working with underprivileged children. While in the country, I rely on my expertise as a Travel Consultant of 11 years to earn money. I have traveled extensively throughout the country and developed many beautiful relationships. As a result, my co-host, Valary Ominde and I have become two of the very few outsiders to be welcomed into the Maasai community. This privilege allows us open access that we are able to extend to our guests. My co-host Valary is a Kenyan local who volunteers with the organization. She has a profound sense of curiosity that has led her to study habits of the Maasai tribe. Valary is very knowledgeable in their traditional practices and welcomes the opportunity to share this information with our guests.

We will visit a rural Maasai homestead in Kajiado. The beading class will be conducted outside. The set up is quite comfortable. We use a picnic tables and a huge tent to block the Kenyan sun. You will also get a chance to tour the traditional Maasai home.
