We take a short walk up a short incline to a beautiful area at Red Rocks Open Space that has lots of options for which view you'd like to paint, including views of Pikes Peak, a small lake, and other beautiful rock formations. We'll spend an hour and a half painting - and you'll get to choose how much support you'd like (I can provide suggestions on technique, color usage, etc., or if you'd prefer to create your own masterpiece, I can sit back and cheer you on!). I'll provide all the refreshments and all the supplies, including canvas, acrylic paints, paint brushes, and small easels. I can bring colored pencils or pastels and drawing pads, as well, if I am given advanced notice.
I am fifth-generation Colorado native and professional artist, with art in a local gallery, online, and shown at local art festivals, including the Commonwheel Labor Day Art Festival. I am passionate about sharing my art with others and helping them find the joy in painting Colorado's natural beauty. I am easy-going and laugh all the time - so you don't need to be intimidated; just bring your excitement to create and I'll bring the rest!
We'll meet in the parking lot and take a short hike to our designated spot. There are lots of areas in the Open Space where you can paint, so feel free to move around during the creative time.
最多可有4位年满8周岁的参与者参加。 There is a short hike up to the area where we will set up.
This judgement-free class is for all skill levels, so even if you've never painted before you'll have fun! Also, please keep in mind there are portable toilets in the parking lot, but no restrooms with running water.
