Come enjoy our super private, fully renovated "Mid-Century Modern Compound" in the historic neighborhood of Hammond Wood, located just 5 miles from the Washington, DC border and one mile from the Wheaton Metro stop. Originally designed by renowned architect Charles Goodman, this 2-bedroom/1-bathroom home was meticulously restored by Cook Architecture. The result is a comfortable balance of contemporary functionality and original design elements that pays homage to the home's significant history.

We welcome you to a spacious and private basement apartment with its own entrance and self check-in. Get cozy with your guests in a space that has a bedroom with a king-size bed, an 85-inch smart TV, soft sectional , private toilet, bathroom and kitchenet, all in the same space. None of the amenities are shared. The fully-equipped kitchenet has everything you'll need to cook and warm your meals. Guest suite is the entire basement apartment which is a part of a bigger home where host lives.

Ideal location to see all the sites in our nation's capital. Conveniently located one mile from two Metro stops. If you're in town for work or to see family, go to a show or simply to explore, this is a great place to rest your feet. Walk to Silver Spring and Takoma Park for neighborhoods. Other amenities include an honor bar stocked with beer and wine, an arcade style game with over 200 popular titles including Ms. Pac Man, and coffee/tea. Please note that we live upstairs, but the space is private. It is separated by a stairwell and a locking door. It is comparable to a hotel room, but nicer.

The loft is a cozy space accessible by a vintage wooden ladder. It is not appropriate for people who cannot climb a ladder. There’s an outdoor seating area with a Chiminea to light a fire, enjoy a cup of coffee or wine, work or just listen to the birds.
