Follow a long gravel driveway before you can view this comfortable house in the country. This house is 12 easy miles from the Town of Farmville and all it has to offer. Longwood University and Hampden-Sydney College is near by. Visit High Bridge State Park for hiking and Greenfront is a shopping destination. Lots of dining options will appeal to every taste and plenty of other activities to enjoy in this area. There is no phone-internet or satellite at The Hide-A-Way, Cell phones do work.

A peaceful, quiet, and cozy home on 36 acres of beautiful land that rests just 5 minutes from Hampden-Sydney College and 10 minutes from Longwood University. The logs, from the 1800's, were reconfigured 17 years ago combining a rich history with high speed internet and modern amenities. Sink into the luscious bed with totally organic sheets, mattress topper, and pillows. Take a walk on the original wagon train road down to a stream or bath your senses in the majestic view of Jump Mountain from the meadow.

A Perfect Country Getaway

Heron Hill 49 is a place for people who want to unplug, get away, and appreciate the quiet of country life. It’s an ideal space to relax or to work without distractions. Fiber optic internet is provided; cell service is limited. (We recommend wi-fi calling.) Guests will enjoy walking the property, following Spring Creek, and exploring the remains of an old, hand-built stone dam in the woods. Birdwatchers will find an abundance of species.
