Welcome to Deer Hideout Retreat! We are located in Palmyra, Virginia, on two acres of land. There's an abundance to see and to do around here, and we hope you choose our home for your stay. We are far enough outside of the city to enjoy the peace and quiet, but just a short drive to all the action. We are close to Monticello, James Monroe's Highland and 28 minutes away from the city center of historic Charlottesville. There are plenty of vineyards all around us and a couple of orchards, too.

Forest Oasis with Creek Pool

Serene creekside camp with a 3-foot deep natural pool! This site is called "Waterthrush." See photos for all included amenities and browse our rental add-ons if you need extra tents, sleeping pads, water, etc. 2 minute walk to camp (trail descends gradually, so expect a slight uphill walk to exit) OR drive directly to camp with 4WD. If it's dry, 2WD vehicles will make it to camp (ask if you are unsure). Expect mud, bumps, scratches, and tight turns as you will be driving through the forest!

Quiet, rural setting in neighborhood culdesac. Located off Rt 53, approx 15 mins from Monticello & FUMA. Basement of home, w/private entrance is a 1000 square foot apartment with a large full bathroom, large bedroom with 2 Queen size beds, open floor plan with living, dining area and kitchen. Space includes a large screened in porch w/ bed swing, patio area & swimming pool. No diving - deep end 6ft. View of woods on back of property w/ sunrise through the trees in morning. Lovely retreat.

Granite countertops and upgraded appliances, custom tile showers, high quality mattresses, leather reclining couch. But the best part is the covered porch overlooking the James River! With your own private river access, you can enjoy a cool dip in the water or just the serenity of the peace and quiet. Lots of wildlife and stunning views.

Black Cat Retreat

Private entrance. upstairs, Lots of light, Wrap around deck! Full private bath in room. Large room with a small kitchenette. Refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker a kitchen sink and induction burner to cook on. Also washer and dryer in the room. Upon your arrival there will be Banana Nut Bread, fruit & filtered water. All cotton sheets on the queen size bed (plus for the full size air mattress in room.) Cotton towels, shampoo, blow dryer, iron and ironing board.

1893 House on Wild Oats Farm

This traditional rambling farm house built in 1893 is located on a 130 acre working cattle farm in lovely rural Virginia. Enjoy your morning coffee with views of the pastures, pond and woods from 3 porches. The farm is conveniently located to Scottsville, Charlottesville, UVA, Monticello, Ashlawn Highland, the James River, Richmond, Mt. Ida and award winning winery's and breweries. 8 people max staying in house

Pet-Friendly Country Farm House on Pond

Pet-Friendly Country Farm House on Pond Farm stay hosted by Julie and Rick Bring your dogs. We have a huge fenced yard for them to play in. Come and enjoy the peace and quiet. We have 40 acres of fields and woods to help you relax a little. With over a mile of maintained trails you can take your pet for a long walk.  Have a corn hole match or barbecue and just relax. Wineries and breweries are nearby.
