The Stag Hut

Local amenities are within walking distance include, cafes, local shop, post office and hotels with bars. Visit the Loch Ness exhibition centre and Urquhart Castle. Fort Augustus is 13 miles away and offers spectacular views down Loch Ness. Inverness is 20 miles away and offers a variety of shops and restaurants.

It is the perfect spot for walking, cycling, fishing, skiing, water sports and wildlife spotting. It is a central point on the Great Glen Way meaning nothing is too far from here such as Loch Ness or Ben Nevis. It is also on the way to Skye meaning it provides a perfect stopover to recharge before carrying on through the Highlands.

The Knockie Cottage is a 2-bedroom cottage with bathroom and private access. Enjoy the views of the Highlands (approx 27 miles from Inverness) with its beautiful open countryside and mountains. Just outside you have Loch Knockie that attracts a variety of wildlife and is great for trout fly fishing. Enjoy fishing in the private Loch nan Lann. The Cottage is perfectly situated for explore Loch Ness and enjoy hiking the beautiful hills.  

The Road to Skye - The Studio @ Ceannacroc Lodge

Ground floor annex to the lodge, off the road to Skye. Wonderful mountain scenery & riverside location. Light & airy, with French windows facing south. The Pavilion is a Luxurious Self Catered Wing of Foulis Castle just out of Evanton near the ancient burgh of Dingwall. The Pavilion is positioned within beautiful landscaped gardens overlooking the Cromarty Firth. Foulis Castle is a 15-20 min walk away from the Storehouse of Foulis Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm).
