The Bolt Hole is located in Foyers by the banks of Loch Ness. It has private parking, an enclosed garden, cosy livingroom with wood burner and 1 bedroom with a superking size bed. Local amenities are within walking distance include, cafes, local shop, post office and hotels with bars. Visit the Loch Ness exhibition centre and Urquhart Castle. Fort Augustus is 13 miles away and offers spectacular views down Loch Ness. Inverness is 20 miles away and offers a variety of shops and restaurants.

Dogs are more than welcome at no extra charge (fully fenced garden) ... with miles of hill and forest walks available straight from the door, it's their holiday too!!!. Foyers village is found in a rural location in the Highlands, on the quiet southern banks of world famous Loch Ness.

Rosie the Road Workers' Living Wagon

Situated in Upper Inverroy, near Roy Bridge, and with unbroken views to some of Scotland’s highest and most beautiful peaks, Rosie is ideally placed for visitors who are keen to explore the beautiful mountains, glens, lochs and coastal waters of Lochaber, the outdoor capital of the U.K. Rosie was built in 2019 upon an original early 1930’s road workers’ living wagon chassis. Situated in a private position adjacent to our house, Rosie looks out towards  the magnificent Grey Corrie mountains.

Modernist Studio in the Scottish Highlands

This distinctive building, renovated both inside and out, started life as a primary school in 1966 and its modernist design is unique for the area. You will be surrounded by art, vintage furniture, natural textiles and amazing views during your stay. The studio is self contained and well equipped with a small but functional kitchen with high quality kitchen and tableware. The Japanese inspired bathroom has been designed to spend time and relax in with a large rain shower and deep bath.

Briar Barn in Forest Location by Loch Ness

Briar Barn is a self contained, converted barn which sits next to our house. It is a warm and cosy affair with heaps of rustic features including exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings and a log burning stove. The spacious converted barn boasts a fully fitted kitchen, Wi-Fi , Freeview Tv in the lounge and in the bedrooms , comfy lounge and dining area, a fully tiled Shower room with a heated towel rail, 2 bedrooms and a patio where you can sit and enjoy the tranquil, mesmorising views.

Bowmore Cottage

Completed end July 2012, Bowmore is nestled amongst the most beautiful greenery - tall majestic trees to the back of the property hide the view of the small chapel next to the Abbey. The address, Abbey Gardens, gives away its history - Abbey Gardens was the vegetable patch tended by the monks when it was a working monastery. The cottage is set in its own private garden and just a few minutes' walk away is the southern tip of Loch Ness.

A delightful place to stay and newly finished in May 2019 'The Wee House' can be found right next door to our own (slightly bigger) house, 'Heisgeir'. We will be on hand just next door to give you a warm welcome and to ensure your stay with us, and whilst you explore the Skye and Lochalsh area , is both enjoyable and peaceful. Being born and brought up in the area we hope our local knowledge will allow you make the most of your trip.

Urquhart Bay Croft is a brand new luxury self-catered renovation with beautiful views across Loch Ness and Glen Urquhart. Downstairs it has a double height entrance hallway, one king-size bedroom, and separate family bathroom, while upstairs it boasts a fully equipped open plan kitchen/dining area, lounge with comfy sofa and free standing log burner, and double doors opening to decked area and the wider south facing garden.

Tigh A'Mhuillin (The Mill House) is a lovely detached home close to picturesque coastal villages (5 miles from Shieldaig and 17 miles from Applecross), with shops and pubs. Fabulous hill walking and climbing in the Torridon mountains, mountain biking on tracks and quiet roads, fishing, and sea trips to explore this beautiful part of the Highlands. For the less energetic, just sit, relax and watch the ever-changing scenery.
