Huon Valley House: luxury, layout, location

Huon Valley House is a place where you can unwind in peace and comfort. It’s a spacious, stylish home, with comfortable beds and gorgeous views from every window. It’s private but central to everything the Valley has to offer, and an easy drive to Hobart and other Southern Tasmania destinations. Outside is an acre of lawn and native gardens, birds and occasional wildlife, plenty of parking and large decks with views in all directions. It’s the perfect luxurious base to explore the south-west.

We want to offer visitors to Hobart a unique & luxurious accommodation experience, which connects modern design with its rugged, bush environment. Located in West Hobart, we are a short 8 minute drive to the Salamanca water front. Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

A beautiful place to relax and enjoy views of the Huon River. short walk to cafes and local Hotels. Esplanade walk with childrens playground and history signage. luxury bathroom with separate shower, deep double bath. laundry facilities. Kingsize bed in main bedroom(does not split) extra single bed as day lounge in the lounge room. 2 TV's, wifi . good kitchen with oven and cooktop. basic pantry items. Porch at rear with bbq. Front verandah for good views. Free parking onsite.

The Songbird | Waterfront Escape

Linen-draped interiors, a flickering fire, and an antique outdoor bath invite you to pause. Wake to the morning chorus and the scent of salt air, and soak beneath stars as the world hushes around you. Here, the rhythm of waves meets the melody of birdsong - and everything unnecessary falls quietly away.

Private, self-contained cabin in the Huon Valley close to Cygnet (7 min), Bruny Island & Hobart (50 min), Hartz Mountain National Park & World Heritage Area (1 hr). Bush surrounds, stunning views of the Huon River & Hartz mountains. Beaches, bushwalking, markets, relax by the fire or on the deck & admire the view. Markets every week in the valley, including the Cygnet market 1st & 3rd Sunday of the mth, Willie Smith's Artisan & Farmers Market every Saturday, 10-1.

Huon Burrow- Underground, WaterViews

The Huon Burrow is a unique underground dwelling nestled into the hillside with amazing views over the Huon River within easy walking distance of cafes and restaurants at historic Franklin in the Huon Valley. The Huon Burrow has half a metre of material on the roof composed of soil, gravel and insulation on top of a waterproof barrier, then 20 tons of concrete and one ton of reinforced steel.

Blueberry Bay Cottage

A waterfront Pavilion on private 8 acres bushland. This unique waterside location provides a unique setting for your Huon Valley stay. Eat like a local at the Red Velvet, The Old Bank in Cygnet. Fully self contained, the cottage is all yours to enjoy. You’ll meet the friendly wild life as you explore the surrounding bush land. On day two, why not book the private cedar outdoor Hot tub!

Aerie Retreat

AERIE retreat. A private designer apartment in the bush by the water. Walk down to the very private Wilderness Deck for exclusive use of the Timber Hot Tub, Sauna and fire pit. Access to the waterfront marine reserve is also exclusively available for our guests. A brilliant spot to stay summer or winter. Watch the winter full moon rise over the ocean from the hot tub and sauna.
