Misty Ridge - Kennerdell Getaway

Silence and solitude in beautiful NW Pennsylvania. This lodge offers a breathtaking view off the back deck, 600’ above the Allegheny River. A beautiful interior with a rustic feel. Plenty of wood work and a gorgeous stone fireplace in the center of the living room. The house is located only 2m from a boat launch on the Allegheny River, yet just 10m from WalMart. Come enjoy a peaceful stay in the great outdoors! Hiking, fishing, bike riding and more! If you're looking for serenity, this is it!

Cheerful 3 bedroom cottage on the Allegheny River

We built the summer cottage in 2006, for a summer home stayed on. We lived in the cottage 8 years when we wanted a bigger house. We love it year around. We are isolated with 3 neighbors (not close) and the river at our front door. Good boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, swimming , hiking, bird watching (with a eagle nest across the river). December through February, it is best if you come with 4 wheel drive. Having said that , we keep the road plowed and the hill sanded.

Feel at home with our fully equipped kitchen, organic coffee, quality linens and soaps. Sit on the porch with your morning coffee, have a fire(wood provided) read a book—there’s something for everyone! Downtown is minutes away, offering shopping and dining. For cycling or kayaking, the Samuel Justus Bike Trail is a few minutes’ ride, Oars Kayak Tours is steps away.

Cottage with Private Allegheny River Access

"Bearly Affordable", located along the Allegheny River nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The cottage offers private river frontage for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and fishing. Cottage sleeps 6 and has most of the amenities of home including air conditioning, forced air heat, wood stove, well and septic. Additional staying quarters located in an adjacent cedar Cub House which has 4 beds, 2 lofts, and air conditioning. Cub House Closed for Season. Opens back up April 1st.

Built in 1872 Historic Step Back In Time!

Vintage Victorian home built in 1872 with a warm historic feel. Beautiful view of the Allegheny river. Kitchen w/island seating for 4 and two additional tables. Large formal dining room. Two cozy elegant living rooms. There are 2 full baths, 1st floor w/large walk in shower & 2nd floor has a bathtub/shower and a 1/2 bath off large bedroom. Plenty of towels & blankets. All essentials. There are several TV's that you can stream with the Wifi. Due to Covid-19 no more than 10 guests are allowed.

Updated home just steps from historic downtown Franklin! A perfect mix of privacy and location, this home is in a quiet residential neighborhood just a 2-minute walk from charming downtown Franklin. Walk to restaurants, antique shops, theater, specialty food stores, music stores, museum, and parks. 6-minute drive to the boat launch or bike trail. *The front portion of the home is occupied by a local business. The comfortable and private guest space spans three floors.
