'Waterfront' on 1796 Historic Farm

Feel refreshed when you stay in this rustic gem! The Springhouse is nestled in the rolling hills of Northern Virginia’s Wine Country! Originally constructed in the early 1800's, the structure was built over a natural spring that was used for refrigeration. Water from the spring maintains a constant cool temperature throughout the year while also filling a pond. The original stone well, channel and stone flooring are all intact for guests to explore and experience how our ancestors lived.

Chestnut House at Fox Haven Farm

Beautiful countryside vistas, nature-lover's paradise, feels like you are far away, yet the fine food and art of Frederick are only a 15 minute drive up the road. Hikes, Harper's Ferry, Ski Liberty, or just the quiet of our bucolic setting await. It can also be a part of a larger retreat when combined with 2 other farmhouses on the farm, and a restored Dairy Parlor venue. It's a great place to host friends, family, and more. You can join one of our farm-based education classes too.

Spruce Run Cottage, Farm stay on Catoctin Mountain

The cottage is located on 25 acres of mostly wooded terrain off Highway 17 near Wolfsville, Maryland, less than an hour and a half from D.C. The cottage faces the woods and the private drive down to the creek. There is almost zero light pollution at night so stargazing is incredible from the balcony. The hosts live on the property up the hill in an 1890’s chink log cabin. Although you can see our house, the cottage feels very private and is a quiet comfortable retreat in the hills.
