Guests have a short walk up a quiet tree-lined street to reach Haywood Road, the center of West Asheville, with its restaurants, bars, breweries and shops. Downtown Asheville and the up-and-coming South Slope neighborhoods are only 5 miles away. Wake up to birds chirping and wind down listening to the creek and relaxing in the back yard.

High Calling

High Calling is the lower level of a home on Cataloochee Mountain, at 4300’ elevation. Enjoy the panoramic views year round from a private covered porch or around the fire pit as you relax with the peaceful sound of the creek below. A charcoal grill is also provided. Two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, the other with one full bed and one twin bed face mountain views. A sitting area with a television and games, kitchenette and coffee station are provided, along with snacks and drinks.

We love this beautiful area and are so happy to share it with others! This cozy retreat (with private entrance and parking space!) is the perfect home base for all of your Asheville adventures! Conveniently located in North Asheville, it’s less than ten minutes from downtown, within walking distance to UNCA and central to many breweries and restaurants. This is a great little efficiency by the river that offers a great porch overlooking the Pigeon River. This is the perfect getaway for two, in the mountains of Western North Carolina, who want somewhere to stay that is affordable but with all the amenities. We are located approximately 20 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 20 minutes to the quaint town of Waynesville and 3 miles from Springdale at Cold Mountain Golf course. Asheville is a 30 minute drive.
