Welcome to your cosy Shepherd’s Hut, a warm, relaxing stay on your Burren adventure. Set on a 1-acre country property overlooking the Burren mountains with private parking. Perfect for couples, solo travellers and roadtrippers seeking a peaceful base near heritage sites, hiking trails, sunset spots, the Wild Atlantic Way and Cliffs of Moher. Features central heating, Wi-Fi, kitchenette, a dreamy double bed, bathroom with shower, and a secluded outdoor seating area with chiminea for stargazing.

Beautiful shepherds hut powered by solar for an off grid experience along the Wild Atlantic Way situated on Connemara farm land located 20 minutes from Galway city and 10 minutes from Oughterard and Lough Corrib. Sleeps 3 with a double bed and a single bed. Kitchenette with running water and gas hob, separate fire pit/BBQ area and outhouse with toilet, sink and heated shower. There is a small wood burning stove in the Shepherds hut with kindling provided. Towels and bedding are also provided.

Aughinish Island is accessed by a 1 km causeway (not tidal) and is an area of unspoilt beauty with local pebble beaches a five minute walk away and the sandy beach of Traught a ten min drive away (8 km). You'll be staying on the Clare-Galway border with both the wildness of the Burren and Galway city at your doorstep.

There are plenty local amenities scenic walks, hikes, fishing, golfing and an adventure centre in Moycullen. Perfect getaway to discover Connemara.
