Forest Hideaway

Our tents come fully equipped with an outdoor covered kitchenette and bathroom, queen size bed, dining room table and couch; along with the necessary amenities that modern day life demands such as WIFI and power (NB: only for charging devices). It's camping, but with all the amenities that you would expect of a house; such as a high pressured shower and a flushable toilet overlooking the forest, what more can you want? A braai/BBQ area on the edge of the forest immersed in nature. All sorted.

Use our clean and well equipped communal kitchen as well as braai areas, a bar, a plunge pool/hot tub, plus some beautiful walks into the forests and rivers.

Wonderwoods Private Nature Retreat offers a truly memorable stay in one of only three canvas Bell Tents scattered amongst scentful Eucalyptus trees, ferns and indigenous forest. Your 5m Bell Tent has a high quality extra length queen size bed with clean bedding and extra blankets. A few meters from your tent is your private compost toilet with clean water. Enjoy clean hot water in the amazing forest showers and a beautifully designed communal Forest Kitchen that is fully equipped.

Relax with Klein Karoo hospitality on a small farm 6km out of Calitzdorp. The tent has 1 comfortable double bed with white linen (Can be converted to 2 single beds on request). Towels are provided. The tent is well equipped for self catering with a bar fridge and a gas cooker. Enjoy your own private braai area and cool off in our shared splash pool. We have a small pub and restaurant on the premises, which is normally only open Friday and Saturday evenings.
