Gujo Hachiman is known as the “City of Water”, and owner & architect Yuri Fujisawa has lovingly restored this charming residence to embody the spirit of water. Located below the town’s medieval castle, this neighborhood was reserved for high-ranking samurai. While the historical streetscape is well-preserved, it remains an authentic neighborhood inhabited by friendly locals.

百 HAKU <拥有百年历史的古朴日式别墅>

HAKU is a Japanese Style Villa. You can enjoy your private time as in your home. “HAKU“ is one of the readings of the character “百” which means “hundred”. Medieval Haiku poet, Basho Matsuo likened eternal passage of time to "百代の過客", a permanent traveller. In his time, a hundred years was expressed as eternal. HAKU was originally built as a farmer’s shed about a hundred years ago. It was recently relocated and renovated for another hundred years. HAKU will welcome you as traveling companions.

IORI SHIROYAMA is located on a hill overlooking Takayama and is a vila of traditional Japanese architecture, only one group per night. We have created a peaceful and high-quality space using natural materials and traditional Hida crafts. After detoxifying in the sauna, enjoy a retreat to shed your daily fatigue. A free shuttle service is available from Takayama Station. We will deliver to your house an authentic Japanese breakfast featuring Hida ingredients and other seasonal ingredients.

Kusa no Niwa | 高山百年町屋旅馆

Kusa no Niwa is a traditional Japanese-style house with a courtyard and corridors that was built more than 130 years ago. The entire house with a size of 100 square meters will be lent privately to a single group with a maximum capacity of 6 persons. You will find a fusuma, a sliding door with a paper panel, painted by a famous Japanese Painter, which can be also found in the Taue’s House, an Important Cultural Property, located in Nyukawa Town.

In the winter it is a fireplace with firewood, in the summer it is naturally comfortable wind, free from the urban noisy flow of time, please refresh yourself naturally touching. We can accommodate up to 11 people and we are waiting for use with family and friends group. In addition, you can relax in a quiet environment for small group usage. Especially for outdoor guests you can enjoy the best space. Please enjoy BBQ in the garden.

Autumn Takayama Festival is held on October 9th and 10th every year. My house is located in the center of autumn Takayama festival venue. The highlights of festival called YOIMATSURI(宵祭) is started just in front of my house. If you stay my house in this festival, you can enjoy the festival all day, from morning to night!! KURA is Japanese traditional building. We renovated it to stay. You can stay here only one group a day.
