This peaceful getaway is minutes from town, the New River boat landing, Cascades waterfalls, and the Palisades restaurant. Lots of wildlife to see. Our cabin is part of our wedding venue.

You can enjoy tubing, swimming, fishing, and late-night bonfires during your stay.

Hiking on the Appalachian Trail, fishing in the stocked trout stream, and picnicking and playing in the Whistle Stop Park are within a mile of the property. Canoeing on the New River~15 minutes away. *cell service is unreliable, internet/WiFi is strong. There is a land line for emergencies*

Welcome to our tiny cabin on the mountain. This 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 490 sq ft cabin sits on 3 beautiful acres covered in fruit and nut trees. We just built this cabin in 2019 on land that once belonged to my great great grandmother. In fact, the peonies and apple trees on the property were planted by her. This cozy cabin has a bathtub with shower made from a steel horse water tank, a large mini fridge, and a convection oven. The outdoor pavilion is where we spend most of our time.

Soak in all the nature around you in this private, family-friendly cabin. Situated next to Walkers Creek, enjoy hiking on the 500 acre property, creek and pond fishing and minutes to waterfalls. See the unobstructed stars from the comfort of your firepit. Only 18mi to Radford, VA and 26 mi to Blacksburg, VA. Comfortably sleep the whole family with your King sized master bed on ground level, upstairs bunk room (3), and Queen sleeper sofa in living room. Full bathroom on each floor.

This 1 room cabin with kitchenette (2 top burner, small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker) with full bath is set on Toms Creek, fifteen minutes drive from Virginia Tech and the town of Blacksburg. The space itself is private, rustic and charming even though we live just next door. We thank you for no pets, vaping or smoking inside the cabin and we are happy to share that our onsite managers, Ray and Mara, will be handling all inquiries on our behalf.

Buckeye Farm is located in the quaint village of Newport. You are only 15 minutes from Virginia Tech and 32 minutes from Radford University. Our log home is beautifully decorated and is situated on the property to have complete privacy. You are steps from the creek to fish or jump on one of the local hiking trails to see the most beautiful views of the New River Valley! Note: We do host weddings here but unfortunately that option isn't offered on this site.
